Configuration File

#1 Post by puck44 » 13.10.2013, 13:41

Hi!
Is there any Configuration File that I can copy to another PC to avoid to make all settings again on every PC?

Happy weekend

Just copy the folder "Settings", containing file like FreeCommander.ini, FreeCommander.shc and others.

Thanks!
I hate programs that write the confifuration to another place than the Installation Folder!!
But I found it.

You're welcome.

I don't remember what is default in FC, but you can change the path to FC install folder in Settings.

You can find all relevant FC-XE paths for your current installation in Help > About.

What version of Windows are you using? Win Vista and later won't let programs write settings data to installations in the Program Files folder. An alternative is to install in a different location, essentially as a portable application.
