Mouse Wweel Left and Mouse Wheel Right

#1 Post by freddo » 09.06.2013, 22:51

How do I stop XE from using the Mouse Wheel Left and Mouse Wheel Right actions? I have these two keys assigned to global actions and do not want XE to capture these. Can I turn them off in XE?

You're right. I'm using shortcuts in FC to switch tabs with these, it was working until now, but it doesn't work anymore.

I'd like to be able to disable it, but also to customize it, as I requested already.

I have a Logitech mouse and in its SetPoint software I have set "Left wheel tilt" to simulate Ctrl key in FC XE and "Right wheel tilt" to simulate Ctrl+A (select all) for easy file selecting using only the mouse. It's an easy workaround.
If your mouse doesn't have such a control application, you could use X-Mouse Button Control. Of course, you can assign those keys to anything you want.

1. You can use double click on free space to select all easily (in settings) and save the wheel for other actions.

2. I am using Logitech mouse, I don't like SetPoint, in HotkeyP I can assign anything, but in FC the wheel left/right are working all the time simultaneously, go to folder with many files in list view mode to test it.

1. I use double click on free space to go up one folder.

2. My SetPoint config is overtaking XE's config. So no, I don't experience what you're describing, even while browsing a folder with many files in list view mode.
