Difference between "FC" and "Windows" for file operations?

#1 Post by Anthony2816 » 29.05.2013, 20:18

Some of the buttons I can add to the toolbar come in two versions: "(FC)" and "(Windows)". Examples include Delete Permanently, Delete to Recycle Bin, file copy or move, and Search.

What's the difference? How do I know which version to choose?

I'm using FreeCommander XE 0.0.0.619 Donor Preview, but I'm guessing this question pertains to all versions?

FC XE implemented its own routines for these actions. It's up to you if you want to use them or not. I'm using XE for every action you mentioned, except for Delete to recycle bin, as it is somewhat slower in my experience.

Note: this is not the correct forum for XE (beta) version.
