Folder/File Icons of 64 Bit Applications

#1 Post by acid-world » 24.09.2010, 19:06

Hi,

i've installed the 64 bit version of TortoiseSVN and the new/beta version of Freecommander.

So i can access to the SVN-Contextmenu(64bit) and this is very nice,
but how can i display the Icon-Overlays for Files and Folders?

thx

Hi,
I have the same. I get no Overlay-Icons displayed.
I run SVN and Windows7 Ultimate 64Bit .

1. Install 32 Bit TortoiseSvn too.
2. TortoiseSVN Settings: deactivate "Show overlays and context menu only in explorer".

Bingo it works with installing TortoiseSVN 32Bit.
For info: Both TortoiseSVN 32Bit and 64Bit can be installed. It seems that it has no impact to each other.

Hello Marek,

is it planned to support ToroiseSVN 64 Bit in the future too? In our company only the 64 Bit version deployed.

Best regards

Just my thoughts on TortoiseSVN overlay icons in Windows 7 x64 - don't install the newest package installer (1.7), because it blocks installing 32-bit Tortoise on a 64-bit system. I've used installer for version 1.6.16

Using Beta 598 on a Windows 7 64 bit:
No TortoiseSVN overlay icons are displayed. However, I also have the old version of FC installed and there they ARE displayed.

AFAIK both versions of FC are 32 bit right? Since the overlay icons are displayed in the old version of FC, obviously the installation and settings of TortoiseSVN must be correct. (BTW, I am using TortoiseSVN 1.7.9 64 bit.) It must be a problem of FC XE, or am I mistaken?

EDIT:
OK, I found part of the solution:
1) Settings > View > File/Folder list > Icons > Network > Extracted
2) Settings > View > Tree > Management > Show Overlay Icons (SVN)

After step 1 the overlay icons are now displayed in the main window(s).
However, step 2 seems to have no effect on the tree view.

Regards, Stephan

Also in the new Beta 599 the TortoiseSVN overlay items are not shown in the treeview control.

Also in the new Beta 599 the TortoiseSVN overlay items are not shown in the treeview control.
The function is broken in the last releases. Fixed for the release 600.

On Windows 8.1 64x, as seen on the TortoiseSVN Download page, I did the following : And icons appeared :D
