SFTP access for testing purposes

#1 Post by Marek » 04.05.2018, 20:16

I am currently working on an SFTP client for FreeCommander (basic functions).
Can someone offer me access to an SFTP server for testing purposes? I would like to test different server versions.

Hi Marek, having SFTP on FreeCommandeer will be great.
I don not manage any SFTP sever that can be access from the internet, and you probably tried local server, so this information might be redundant, but just in case, let me add my two cents.
These are some sftp server option that I can think off,
1. CORE free mini sftp server (http://www.coreftp.com/server/). It can be ran locally or in a LAN PC.
2. Linux (let's said Mint) running in a Virtual Machine with SFTP eneabled (https://askubuntu.com/questions/420652/ ... -on-ubuntu). Most SFTP servers our there are probably Linux Based.
3. Finally, I think Windows 10 already has all that's required to enable and SFTP server (https://www.windowscentral.com/how-set- ... windows-10).
I hope this helps.
Regards.

Hi Marek,

I've begun testing SFTP and so far, so good, with its basic functions. I cannot copy a file from the local PC to the remote. Will this support be added? Will you also be able to support dragging and dropping files from local to remote, and vice versa?

Thanks for adding this feature.

Regards,
DG

All operations works fine for me.
Have you used F5 for copy files?

Marek, I'm looking forward to the release of a version of FreeCommander with SFTP. I can give you access to my SFTP site if you still need one for testing. Thanks for FreeCommander

That would be interesting if the server version is larger than 3.
