please allow the quick filter to automatically detect the extensions
in a list and show the number of files with those extensions...
it will also display option to show folders only or files only...
for example, if you press the down arrow in the quick filter bar..it will
display something like this
show folders only (10)
show files only (12)
.exe (10)
.iso (2)
then..if you press show folders only..only the folders will be displayed, if you press
.exe..only the files with .exe extension will be displayed...the numbers on the right
of each option refers to the number of items with such type...
hope to see this in next the release......FC really is great!

Re: Automatic Extension Detection
and what happens if a folder contains let's say +50 different files types? which one would you display then?

Re: Automatic Extension Detection
What would be the advantage of having the extensions preloaded in a list? Or what problem would it solve?
It seems to me that it would be faster to just type the extension you want in the Quick Filter box than to scan a list and then click it -- the progressive filtering means you often need to type only a period followed by a letter or two. And if you have entered the extension previously, it will be in the dropdown history list anyway.
