File/Text Search

Could I suggest some limits be applicable to the file/text search so that the search could be limited to specific folders within a drive?
Our project folders at work are structured by client/project number/discipline/topic and it would be useful to be able to:
1 search for a specific project number folder - i.e. a directory search in only the first level folders
2 search for files/text in a specific discipline folder for all the projects for a specific client - i.e. only search the fourth level for a specific first and third level combination
