Paste a file shortcut (.lnk file)

#1 Post by jhertel » 30.09.2011, 10:17

Hi,

I am considering switching to FreeCommander from Servant Salamander, but I really miss the ability to paste a file shortcut (creating a .lnk file) easily. In Servant Salamander, I can simply select Copy (Ctrl+C) for any file or folder and then press Ctrl+S in another folder (or the same folder) to create a shortcut file (i.e., a standard Windows .lnk file) that refers to that file. I use that several times every day.

But I cannot find that function in FreeCommander.

Would it be possible to add that function?

You can find "Paste shortcut" in the new FreeCommander XE http://www.freecommander.com/fc_beta_en.htm.
