Option to show the quick view on the same pane, on the right, at the top, or at the bottom - there are 2 possibilities - 4 panes (2x file list, 2x quick view), or 3 panes (just 1 quick view for actual file list).

Code: Select all

+---------------+---------------+
| | |
| file list 1 | file list 2 |
| | |
+---------------+---------------+
| | |
| quick view 1 | quick view 2 |
| | |
+---------------+---------------+
It would be useful to always see the file preview for both panes - for the current file(s).

Well, it should be a choice how to show them. :!:

I have a lot of text files and would like to have a complete window pane instead of only half of a window pane.
So i would like to have the choice to let it as it is now.

Option to show the quick view...

The one major feature I miss most from another file manager program is a permanent, on screen pane to view certain file types, especially images. Thumbnails work well as does the current quickview method but they both mean opening and closing a second view. Certain operations, such as deleting a pdf file, require first closing the quickview of the pdf before the file can be deleted.

The permanent pane need not be large, although resizable would be nice, if the current quickview method is also retained. I would prefer one third pane to see the file preview for the current file from either of the file list panes.

Option, or independent splitter for quick view would be the best, with the button "full view" to enlarge the active pane to full width.
