File/Folder Comparison

#1 Post by PoP » 16.11.2009, 14:44

For file/folder comparison
Would it be possible to ignore date differences smaller than
xxxx seconds ?
This would make things nicer when comparing FAT and NTFS
folders because of the 2 second uncertainty on FAT records
and the different ways the summer time is taken into account.

Superb product, anyway,

What about the option "2 sec. difference ignore" under Settings->Compare folders?

Yes, the possibility to ignore a fixed difference of 2 seconds is already in.
I was suggesting a customizable "xxxx" difference.
Or 2 possibilities the present 2 secs and another 1 hour for daylight saving.
Sorry I was not clear !

ignore daylight saving time DST when syncing

#4 Post by florisz » 27.11.2009, 08:36

Hi,
Great product! Also great that you don't need Admin rights to install.(great to use at work for private backup on usb)
Because of the stupid DST funtion in the different windows machines I'm working with the sync function does full backup in stead of incremental. (all 1 hour differences)
It would be great to have an option to ignore the 1hour daylight saving difference.
It should be possible, because 'Syncback'(other backup utility) can do it also.

Sorry for my previous post.
I just discoverd that this feature is already added to version 2009.02a.
This really makes Freecommander the best sync tool!

Great product!
