CTRL and ALT key standardisation

#1 Post by clanman » 11.03.2009, 23:15

I think it would be fantastic if FC would support two sets of control and alt key standards and that the user can flip between these standards at will.

The current one based on TC and a more Windows standard. For example:
The Windows standard for find is Ctrl+F. FC has this as Alt+F7

I am aware (and have done so) you can customise these settings yourself however for new users who have never seen TC before and are coming from Explorer I think this would be an huge help.

I agree and support this request! I think the Windows layout should be even default, because the former TC users should be able to change it.

More suggestions:

- F8 shouldn't be "delete" in Windows layout
- F5 should be "copy" (not refresh) also in Win. layout IMHO

...Hmm.. it looks there are not so many differences, so perhaps just few shortcuts might be changed to Windows standard (F8, Ctrl+F, pehpas few others?). TC users will be able to change these few shortcuts easily.
