SFTP

#1 Post by Mike » 18.09.2008, 08:49

Really there is no need to explain why such a functionality is needed. I'm new to FC, so maybe there is a way to use it like in TC, but except for this it’s a great project. :D

Yes, it would be extremely useful!

Me 3. I need the SFTP feature deadly. Although there are other SFTP clients like winscp and filezilla, I still wish FC having this feature which would lead to a perfect file manager to me.

By the way, in Total Commander, SFTP is implemented by a plugin. If someday FreeCommander will have its own plugin API, it will take off some load from Marek, and encourages community to develop plugins, and eventually be a huge boost for FC. Think about it, iso viewer plugin, 7z viewer plugin....

You should read the beta changelog...

- WCX plugins (now only browsing; operations are not implemented yet)
- delete and unpack operation for WCX plugins are ready for testing

We just have to wait for the new version.
