Hello,
I'm very pleased with freecommander. It's a great software and very helpful.
Only thing is, that I have a delay every time, when I use the context menue (right-mouse-button menue).
This is only the case at my winXP x64 installlation. The x86 installation works fine.
Is there any modification, that I can avoid this problem?
Has someone a similar problem? I was searching the forum, but I didn't find any comment towards this topic.
Thanks for your comments
Rainer

Try to switch to 32 bit context menu.
Check the site http://www.freecommander.com/fc_logchanges_en.htm for ShowContextMenu64Bit.

Re: delay by select the context menue with winXPx64
Hello Karol,
Thank you for your fast response.
I wasn't able to add the two commands to my freecommander.ini file.
[Form]
ShowContextMenu64Bit=1
AutoCloseTimeContextMenu64Bit=10
But anyway. If I hold the left windows key during pushing my right mouse button, I will get the contextmenu very quick.
That's OK.
Rainer

I have large delay with 64bit context menu, too.
When you press Left Windows + Right Click you will get 32bit context menu.
For me, 64bit context menu is not much different to 32bit menu so I prefer use 32bit one.
I just add these to FreeCommander.ini:
ShowContextMenu64Bit=0
Note: it will exchange 32bit and 64bit menu. Now you can right click to show 32bit menu and Left windows + right click to show 64bit menu.

Re: delay by select the context menue with winXPx64
There has been a fair amount of discussion about delays with ContextMenu64 over in the Beta section of the forum, e.g. viewtopic.php?f=6&t=4373
The most recent reports indicate that the problem has been solved, or at least greatly improved. You might try the latest beta release if you have access to it (currently 600), or simply wait until the next public beta (probably 601).
