I have this same problem: Version 2007.10 on Vista Home Premium. The drive info flashes for a fraction of a second and then disappears, leaving the tip box blank.

I can run FreeCommander from my flash drive plugged into my XP Pro machine and it works fine, but the same installation running on my Vista machine yields empty tip boxes. I removed my existing .ini file, but got the same results.
