This looks like a bug to me....

In single pane mode, with Tree view on left and Files/Folders on right, selecting a folder in the tree does not enable any of the Edit/Select-Unselect options. These options become enabled only if the File/Folder panel is clicked. Doing this enables all the Select-Unselect options and also changes the background color of the selected folder to gray.

I think the Edit/Select-Unselect options should be enabled when any folder is clicked in the Tree view.

This is happening on my WIn7-64 SP1 system with XE Ver. 0.0.0.532.

I don't know if this are the right words, but in the tree you can't select items (one or more). The tree is for chosing the folder for view its content in the filewindow.
So the behaviour of the tree is right.

b.t.w. XE is the preview version and the discussion should be done in the beta section.
