Crash of FcContextMenu64.exe

#1 Post by Stachek » 25.09.2010, 21:16

Hi Marek, thanks for your big work and new version of excellent program. At last, was added native context menu for 64 bit OS. But I have faced with one problem. Menu is workable unless one of it's items don't be pressed. After next calling of menu system message appears - "Termination of the program FreeCommander - FcContextMenu64.exe". If I delete this process from the task manager, menu works again. My OS is windows 7-64x. I think it's not only my problem, look for it please.
Sorry for my bad english .

The x64 menu works OK for me (win7x64, no UAC, always admin) although both FreeCommander.exe and FcContextMenu64.exe pop-up the "not digitally signed" warning. It didn't happened previously.

Always works perfectly when I just call context menu by right clicking. I can do it as much as like . But if I choose items of menu (any items, rename, for example), next calling of context menu ends by falling of FcContextMenu64.exe. System message appears - "FreeCommander - FcContextMenu64.exe has stopped working". If delete FcContextMenu64.exe from processes in task manager, menu works again, until the next using context menu items.
I use ZIP-archive instead of installer, but attempt to install doesn't give result. Admin, of course. "Not digitally signed" warning doesn't appear. User account control settings in the default mode.

If it is necessary, I'll make a video capture to prove it is working for me; rename, delete, 7-zip etc., every menu, every time.
Try it on a different machine, too.
Disable any security suite.
I'm using FC v2009.02b 418 donor, win7x64, x64 context menu shown only when I hit win+right click. x86 menu is active all the time (on right click).

Thank you very much joby_toss.

Problem is Outpost firewall pro.
Solving - allow all activity for FcContextMenu64.exe.
