FC WON'T OPEN .RAR FILES

TRIED OPENING/UNPACKING VARIOUS .RAR FILES AND KEEP GETTING
ERROR MSG : NOT VALID ZIP FILE...ERROR 11036
WHAT???
IS THIS FC ERROR????

I confirm this bug, it's reproducible even in XE 553.

-> archive can be accessed and unpacked by SpeedCommander and 7Zip
(win7, XE 553)

Its not a bug - for other archive formats like 7z, rar... you have to use in fC XE an additional WCX-archiver plugin (Extras --> Settings --> Archiver plugins).
I use TOTAL7ZIP.WCX

I also use Total7zip and it works fine.

thanks for the hint. after having a closer look at the zip-file mentioned above I found out the reason why FC cannot handle it properly: because it's not a zip-file but a renamed rar-file.

Solution present trouble may be
rar recovery. It has some required possibilities such as repairing crashed or lost rar archive data. It can fix rar files after some troubles: power failures, viruses and unexpected errors. The tool starts under any major version of Windows OS.
