Multi Rename Improvements

Two thoughts regarding the Multi Remane feature:
  • Please consider making it possible to rename files and folders recursively (to be applied to sub-folders). This would greatly enhance the rename capability, and make it more useful.
  • Please consider renaming FreeCommander menu option for Multi Rename. Throughout the help system and elsewhere it is referred to as Multi Rename, in menu option under File it is called Multirename. This naming inconsistency makes it counter-intuitive for users to find information on this feature.
Upon further investigation I found the "With sub folder" option. Currently it is not possible to select a parent folder, activate the Multi Rename feature, type in text to be replaced, and the replacement text (or nothing if it is to be removed), and have it applied to all sub-folders. This is the functionality I am suggesting.

Is it possible to enhance the "With sub folder" capability to behave as I suggested, which I believe will be well received throughout the FreeCommander community.

Final thought...
Seems the Multi Rename feature would be implemented more elegantly if it were to be integrated into the Search feature.

Thank you for considering my suggestions.

this can easily be achieved by switching to Plain view (Ctrl+B) first and then starting Multi rename

Use option "With subfolders" - and consider to use also the option "Reset per folder" for Counter, when renaming items in multiple subfolders.
