In synchronize filesytems It could be useful lock via interface one of two different filesystem

I like this Freecommander filemanager so complete and customizable.
I think one of the most useful feature about synchronize tool recalled through ALT+S is the opportunity via Freecommander interface to have a check box to avoid to write in one of the two windows part where you are showing different filesystems or different part of them so different directories.
To avoid a mistake to write, overwrite or delete something in the filesystem part you want to use as source for syncronize the destination directory in the destination window part.
