rename file options (if the file exists)

#1 Post by mah_emad » 16.08.2016, 19:24

Hi,

the default behavior for file renaming if the file exists doesn't give me the ability to auto-rename the existing file.

i think it would be better to display the overwrite dialog that appears when copying a file to a folder that has the same file.

Yes, i fully support this.

I am working with many files with by default have the same name. The windows explorer options to handle that are subpar (it needs more than one click for batch renaming; that used to be different in Win7). One option for the WinExplorer is the Perigee tool.

Something like this for the Free Commander and i am fully on board.
