Make Favorite Folder View DUAL PANE, to compare data on 2 HD

When preparing two identical sets of data-- for example, one for office and one for field-- synchronizing the two sets is vital. The whole idea is to make sure the folder list in the left pane matches the folder list in the right pane. By using this method, nothing needed in the field is left behind in the office, and any data added in the field is also added to the office.

In Free Commander, there is already a single-pane "Favorite Folder" button, but no button for two favorite folders, as a pair. By creating a top-menu button for a particular dual-pane view, comparison of the office and field data set is vastly simpler.

With the two lists alphabetized the same way and saved in the preset (ascending or descending), a side-by-side, dual pane comparison is also orders-of-magnitude faster than to compare folder names, or even to count the number of folders in each pane.

Yes, there is a "Compare Folders" button, but that process is somewhat more labor-intensive than a simple side-by-side comparison of two alphabetized panes.

The dual-pane view also has a bonus-- since lists are frequently modified, comparison of the two data sets is a repeated, constant process. With the dual-pane view available from a single button, we quickly track each data set as each list is modified.

you could use "Layouts edit" (CTRL+G)
or
commandline options for FreeCommander, for example:

Also, you can save both folder panes as favorites at the same time (Use left/right panel option):
