Auto hide folder tree for network needed

I normally need/use the folder tree display for navigation, but for network shares it takes very long to show and FreeCommander is not responding during this update.

Best solution would be to update folder tree in the background (see "Uncouple "File/folder list" from folder tree updated" as of 2014-10-05), but if this is too much work then an option to automatically hide folder tree if user switches to some network share would also help.
