Multiple File Rename (Truncate)

#1 Post by Aliby » 22.01.2014, 22:37

There are a number of instances where I would like to be able to simply cut-off a number of characters from the front or back of a whole lot of file names. This is typical where a program has automatically named files and included date and time stamps on them. This means that find and replace will no longer work as each file is different. Being able to truncate it by 12 or so characters on the back or front will make this scenario a breeze.
