My tablet file explorers and other programs can access my Google Drive as though it was another folder.
I'd really like this feature please. No fuss, keep it simple, just click on a drive icon and transfer files like any other drive.
Thanks

Re: Google Drive
If to do such a support, then for all - OneDrive (formely SkyDrive), DropBox, ... if you have corresponding app installed.
Re: Google Drive
If the apps are installed there is nothing to do for FC.Timon wrote:If to do such a support, then for all - OneDrive (formely SkyDrive), DropBox, ... if you have corresponding app installed.

Re: Google Drive
I am not sure I understand the request - do you want to access your online cloud folder directly from FC instead of a web browser? I am not sure if this will be possible...
If you just want to access your offline synced files, i.e. if you already have a folder which is synchronised with your online cloud storage using the desktop sync apps, then all you need to do is just to add it to the list of favourite locations and assign a keyboard shortcut to it. This is the way I do it and have an instant access to my synced OneDrive folders.

Re: Google Drive
I don't use the Google desktop app on my main computer. I have no need for a synced folder on my PC.
My main use of Google Drive is for my mobile devices and mainly controlled and accessed from them. It would be great to drag files to the Drive from FreeCommander every so often or check the Drive contents when my tablet is on the other side of the room charging, say.
Android ES Explorer (a file explorer) can show my Google Drive contents just as any other drive contents, as can many other Android apps and the Google Drive add-on for MS Office. So it is entirely possible to access my Google Drive via a file explorer.
