weird problem, pressing keys does not take me to folders

#1 Post by kursad » 17.03.2008, 16:20

Hi

I am having a weird problem with FC at the moment. Lets say I have a folder with many folders in it. And I want to go to "project" folder so I press "p" to goto "project "folder without browsing through. But FC does not take me there or does not highlight the folder at all. It looks like ony "a" works if I have a folder starts with a. I kind of remember that this thing was working properly.

No problem here. Check the keyboard shortcuts, perhaps you're using P key as the shortcut.

no, none of those assigned as shortcuts, I never use any shortcut without ctrl, shift or alt modifier.

Here is my shortcut list if anyone is willing to try with. The thing is that if I remove my custom shortcut (.shc) file from settings folder I can start typing quick filters again. It looks like active view shortcuts are saved with
the custom shortcts and I have nto set them up myself. Maybe they were causing problem but how come they can be booked while active view is not active?

[ShortCuts]
actFileView=0
actFileCopy=0
actFileZippen=Alt+Z
actFileFindZip=Ctrl+F

I tried it with default setting, no problem.

Are you using quick view? If so, then it doesn't work, I think I have already reported it. Quick view is using P hotkey (actQvViewPlugin=P in your list), so just change the shortcuts in Viewer - press F3, menu > Options > Configure > Shortcuts.

Dreamer thanks for trying.

That si the thing thou I was not using it with quickview. I think that somehow if quickview shortcuts are saved in a custom shortcut file it is cauisng conflict. Deleting those quikcview shortcuts from my shortcut config resolved the issue
