I know that this was asked before but there was no answer given.
Can I set Free commander as the default in Windows Vista?
Hoping for a Yes answer.
Thanks
Robert

default for vista 2
Is there a reason that this question doesn't get answered?
I am not the first to ask it but I haven't been able to find an answer.
I really like FreeCommander and I think that it is reasonable to want it to be the default "explorer".
If it can't be done, I would appreciate being told that it can't be done.
If it is a stupid question.. I am sorry but would still like an answer.
Thanks
Robert

Thank you dreamer!
A big thank you..... I will try this and see what happens.
I'll be glad if it works as I assume it will.
Thanks again.

I've managed to make it the default handler of folders on Vista thanks to a little registry hacking, but I wouldn't really recommend it. The problem is it takes over all of Windows Explorer's jobs but can't handle all of them; for example if I open the Recycle Bin, FC tries to open it but fails. Same with Control Panel etc.
