How to use FreeCommander on 64-bit Windows best?

#1 Post by mindstormer » 03.12.2014, 21:44

How to use FreeCommander on 64-bit Windows best? I checked out http://www.freecommander.com/fc_logchanges_en.htm but I don't really follow what it's trying to do and how to do it. Also, seems like 64-bit FreeCommander is in beta? Will it come of beta and be free/open source too? I'm not sure if the $15 donation is paying for the benefit of trying the beta version of 64-bit FreeCommander or for 64-bit FreeCommander itself when it is no longer beta. I would gladly donate in the future though (I'm only a college student right now xD).

'Open source' and 'freeware' is not the same. FreeCommander is not open source, it is freeware.
You can use FreeCommander XE 32-bit on Windows 64 without problems. The normal user need nothing from http://www.freecommander.com/fc_logchanges_en.htm. I would say, first use FreeCommander XE 32-bit some time and then - if you like it - you can donate.
