I just install this file manager and I like it very much.
I'm a big fan of dark theme, with dark background on everything.
This file manager can be set on this way?
Thanks a lot and keep up this good work.

Marius.

FC XE can display Windows colors or its own; you just need to change them to your liking.

Nice, joby_toss.

You can change also the menu and toolbar background colors, in menu > tools > view style > Gradient - Custom...

The answer is simple. can change also the menu and toolbar background colors, in menu > tools > view style > Gradient - Custom...This is much easier than what you were doing before.
Thanks!

Why do you like the darker colors? I find it hard to see.

I don't use dark background for toolbars, I use the silver-like effect.

I use dark background colors for the file list, with light text colors, it's very easy to see, just it's necessary to configure all the text colors to fit the dark background.

I don't like large white areas, I feel pain in my eyes when I watch it for longer time, so I change it to dark everywhere, if possible. I don't use black background color, it's too dark and that is not good either.

I agree ps299!

The color of background should be eyes friendly.

1] White and black create less contrast than black and yellow. Just think bout this: what colors do various road warning signs have and those warining about biohazard, radioactive materials etc.?

2] Staring as a large big white screen in the evening or at night is as helpful for getting your body ready for sleep as standing in plain view under the high powered lamp in your bathroom while brushing teeth after your the supper
