Hello,
I downloaded FreeCommander mainly to search in zip archives in folder and subfolders.
I achieve to find the targeted files with the ALT+F7 menu.
I get a list of files in the zip archives and I can export each file with a right click on the file.
My question : Is there a way to export all files at once ?
I tried to select the files and right click to export but only the file on which I right click is exported.
I hope my problem description is clear enough. If not, please ask me for details.
Export several files found with zip search
Re: Export several files found with zip search
Export where?
If to file container, then
-export all items (Ctrl+E)
-export selected (Ctrl+S)

I don't achieve to use these shortcuts.Timon wrote:Export where?

Do you use them inside the search window ?
And I just want to save the files found with the search, in a folder of my computer.
Re: Export several files found with zip search
Ok, then explain the implementation of function in your understanding.
For example, you were searching for "1.txt"
There were found 5 files with that name.
How is it possible to save found files (THAT HAVE THE SAME NAME AND EXTENSION!!!) in ONE folder of your computer? They just overwrite each other!

Re: Export several files found with zip search
Ok. I will describe you my example.
I have a directory with for example 50 zip files which contains each 3 files (2 txt and one xml)
I search in that directory for files * which contains a specific value inside one of the files in the zip (for example the string "toto" is in the xml in 12 of the zip files).
So I get a list of 12 different files (the filenames are in grey in the alt+F7 search window).
What I know how to do is select each of the 12 files and right click to save it on my disk.
What I want to do is to be able to select all the files and save all with one click.
For the files with same name it is a problem indeed, but for my use I will not have the case.

Re: Export several files found with zip search
Unfortunately, you are considering a special case where all the files are different. But function must be universal and work even with 12 identical files found (for example, you were searching for a specific value in archives, that contain the same file, that was archived at different time - periodical backup of file). Therefore, it's problematic to implement.
Re: Export several files found with zip search
Your scenario works fine for me with FreeCommander XE on Windows 8.I have a directory with for example 50 zip files which contains each 3 files (2 txt and one xml)
I search in that directory for files * which contains a specific value inside one of the files in the zip (for example the string "toto" is in the xml in 12 of the zip files).

What I want to do is to be able to select all the files and save all with one click.
Simply select the result files, right click -> "Copy". Go to desired target folder and paste the files with Ctrl+V.
