Remove Icon Row between panes?

#1 Post by rddpdx » 09.02.2013, 01:36

There is a row of icons between my two right panel panes. These icons are
"Show left (up) panel ...
"Compares the files ...
etc.
How do I remove this row of icons?

You mean the splitter bar?
Right click on it and use these settings:

Thank you for replying so quickly.
No, not the splitter bar, but the row of icons immediately below the splitter bar. The first icon in this row is labeled, "Shows left (up) panel ..."

By the way, how did you copy and paste a screen shot in your reply? I tried Shift-PrintScrn but that didn't work. ... Ron

Sorry, I have no idea what icon row you're talking about...

I use Screenshot Captor (portable) to take screenshots and MyImgur (portable) to upload them to imgur website. I then paste the image link in my message using img tags.

Maybe you can post a screenshot with that bar you're talking about.

Regarding screenshots, please read this topic:

Regarding your problem, do you mean the "function key bar"? You can disable it in Settings > View > Function key bar > [ ] Function key bar visible. If not, please post a screenshot - perhaps it's one of the toolbars, moved from top accidentally, don't know...

But there is no "Shows left (up) panel ..." button on the Function key bar.
As a matter of fact, I can't find that string anywhere in FC.

Marek,

Thank you for replying.

No, not the Function Bar.

I have uploaded a screen shot as you suggested. It is at:

The icon bar I'm referring to is between the two windows in the right-side panel.

"Joby-Toss", please see my message to Marek, just posted. It includes a link to a screen shot showing the icon bar in the middle of the right panel, between the two windows. ... Ron

Well, let's clear things up...

1. I am not Marek, I'm just a moderator, beta tester and Slovak translator of the FreeCommander.

2. You are using the XE version, this is important, you are posting in a wrong sections, therefore a misunderstanding.

3. The icons you are referring are in the splitter bar, so joby_toss was right in the first reply, but since you posted in a wrong section, he suggested the option in the old version.

So, to remove the icons from the splitter bar, just right click the splitter bar, select "Customize toolbar", and uncheck the splitter option in the Toolbar pane ( [ ] Splitter ). Removing the icons below doesn't work.

To remove the additional "buttons" right click the splitter bar, select "Settings" and uncheck the option "Hot spot visible".
