Free Commander does not display all dirs

#1 Post by Billcorb » 17.08.2012, 17:05

Free Commander does not display all dirs. Using MS Windows explorer, there is a dir under the user name of "Downloads". In Free Commander, there is no such dir listed.

Please provide more details so we can test this.
- What version of Windows are you using?
- Where do you see the Downloads folder in Win Explorer?

- What version of FC are you using?
- Where did you look for the Downloads folder in FC?

For FC-XE 597 and Win7-64, the System Folder toolbar button does not show Downloads in its popup list. That appears to be a bug.
But I can see it in the file list under C:\Users\<username>\

How does that compare to your experience? Thanks.

Free Commander 2009.02b. The Downloads folder should be in C:\users\xxxx\. Thats where it is in Windows explorer. I can see it using Win explorer, but not FC. I have Win 7 64bit. Do you need any other info? Thanks.

Thanks, that's helpful to know exactly where you can't see the Downloads folder, and what version of Windows.

As you can see in my earlier reply, FC-XE shows C:\User\<username>\Downloads correctly in the file list, just as Win Explorer does.
I recommend that you switch to the latest version of FC-XE; it is stable and much more capable than FC 2009x, which is not going to be updated.
