re installstion problems

#1 Post by Joe Campton » 29.04.2012, 08:39

I have just re installed F C and I forgot how to get the view that I like.

#1 I would like 2 panes on the right and the left. One showing directories and the other showing files.

#2 I would like the largest font possible

Thanks

I Agree.

I also would really like to be able to adjust the font size.
With me it's more of a sight problem then a 'nice' feature. :)

Marek, I know you get a lot of feedback, criticisms and such.

I've used FC since 2007 'never leave home without it'

I love that you kept it simple with great additions.

BUGS are all part of the process. I know it will get dealt with.

Thank you for all the hard work you do in making this a great product.

(I just felt you deserve a pat on the back - it was overdue.)

#1 I would like 2 panes on the right and the left. One showing directories and the other showing files.
- start FreeCommander
- select the left pane (click in the left file list)
- open the tree for the left pane with Alt+T
- select the right pane
- open the tree for the right pane with Alt+T
#2 I would like the largest font possible
- go to Extras-Settings-Colors/Fonts and set the fonts as you like

Many thanks for your reply.

#1 I can't find the font controls on the Color/Fonts page.
#2 I would like the scroll bar, that is on on the right side of the file pane, returned. Now this is controlled by my mouse.

Thanks again.

#1 Extras >>> Settings >>> Colors/Font
Choose File list, tree or statusbar and switch the font you wish.

#2 don't know what you mean.

Edit: is it right, that you've installed FC Version 2009.02? In FC XE (the new beta-version) the setting are more detailed and the font-configuration is at separate tabs (Color/Font) on section file/folder list, tree and status bar.

Thank you again for your prompt reply.

I have 55 files in a certain directory. I can see 19 of these files and if I scroll down with my mouse a view of the next 19 files pops up. If I scroll down with my mouse 1 more time then last 17 files appears.

I don;t care for this.

In all previous installations of FC a scroll bar appeared in the right side of this window. By manipulating my mouse I could bring into view files numbered 2 thru 20 or 5 thru 33 etc etc.

I would like this perpendicular scoll bar back.

I dont't know such an FC-setting.

It sounds like a setting for full page mouse scrolling without displaying scroll bars.

Have you only reinstalled FreeCommander or complete Windows or changed Windows version or your mouse?
Which FC version?
Which Windows version (XP, Vista, 7, 8, ...)?
Mouse?

I am running the XE version.

I will update this after I deal with other problems FC is giving me.

Thanks for the help
