How do I know, when looking at a folder, if there are subfolders? I don't see any visual indication.

there is an option in another file manager to see whether a folder contains anything:

I'd luv to 'see' that feature in FC as well.

If you maybe mean the tree in the version 2009.02b, then you could try the FC XE version.
