Drag & Drop onto a zip file not working

When I try to drag & drop a file onto a zip file it doesn't register it to the zip file. It looks at it as if I'm trying to drop into the folder containing the zip file instead.
If I remember correctly this used to work and then just stopped from one day to the next. I did went and upgraded to the lates version (stable) but the problem persists.
