High DPI 200% scaling W10 / FC 775

I run a multi monitor setup,

one of those screens is a 24" 4K monitor, set as 200% scaling (effective full hd rendered with 4x pixels).

FreeCommander (x64 - v775) renders menu bars and context menus fine, however the rest of the interface text & icons are blurred. For the icons I suppose they need to have an highDpi variant added, but for the text it's quite un-usable.

Disabling Windows scaling on the .exe is not an option because it will make the text crisp everywhere but will require the font to be set to 25+ pts which is then way too big on non-scaled screens. Also, icons are way too small like that.

I'm using Win 10 pro - build 1709

If I am not mistaken, there is similar problem with Windows 7 x64

It can be taken care of by activating the "Use Windows XP style DPI scaling" option in the OS display settings

"Use Windows XP style DPI scaling" seems not available on windows 10.

Also, contrary to some release notes of earlier versions, FreeCommander seems totally High DPI un-aware here.

In my previous screen, the bar and context menus are crisp.

But it's because the app is run with "override high dpi scaling behavior -> system (enhanced)"

If I let the default ( "Application handled") everything is blurry :|

Just a guess: how about with different resolutions?

Or with default FreeCommander settings?
