Context Menu on file/folder dealy 1-3 seconds each click

The context menu is sluggish. right click on a file or folder and I get a 2 second delay each time. Is there a work around for this? I know this has something to do wiht 64 and 32 bit incompatibility--such as "edit/Undo" missing using 32 bit context.
