I think I have bug but this could also be worked as designed (setting):
executed scenario:
1. select file
2. apply quickfilter so that the selected file from 1 is outfiltered
3. disable quickfilter from step 2
now, different file is selected (not the same as the user had in step 1)
this caused some confusion to me. Not sure this is a bug or a setting or...

filter bug?
Re: filter bug?
In step 2 you got another file selected because the current one is no longer shown.
If you remove now the quick filter it stays on this file of course.
So its not a bug for me and logical.

Re: filter bug?
true, but in my opinion its better to unset focus on the file selection menu because another file is selected.
So if focus is set on another panel (or none at all) things are more logical.

Re: filter bug?
It's important, that item can be selected or/and focused.
If I select 2 files in NC-mode and then quick filter other file, the other file can be just focused (I think it's possible also without NC-mode), so the selection for those other 2 file could be preserved, but...
Imagine, that 1 file is selected (it could be 2 or more), you filter another file, that file is focused, then you want to copy filtered file to other panel, it's the only visible item in panel, press F5 - result would be, that the other - wrong file would be copied.
Another problem would be, if the new filtered file would not be selected/focused, focus would be lost, so it would be impossible to navigate between the filtered items.
I think it's not a bug, not sure if it can be changed so, that it would work good in both cases, if you want to preserve the selected item before filter, and select filtered item if needed.
