Search Color Scheme and Hotkeys

#1 Post by trueites » 09.10.2019, 04:57

Good evening,

I've been using FreeCommander for a couple years now, and just want to say thank you first and foremost for this great piece of software. About a year ago I had an issue getting the resolution to display correctly and have recently resolved that issue by going into the settings/properties of the .exe file and adjusting a few times, and have a re-found love for this software now that my bad eyes can see it.

In customizing the software I have a few questions as I like a white text on black background to help my eyes and wanted to dig into how to achieve this and was unable to find this info in the forum so far.

These are probably obvious, but thought I'd ask:

1. I want to customize the search files/folders dialog (brought up by control+F) to have a black background with white text and cannot seem to find where this option is
2. I'd like to configure the hotkeys, but when I open up define keyboard shortcuts menu item, the "assign" key is greyed out and it appears I cannot assign a hotkey. Ideally I'd like to assign a few, but mostly just care to have the up one folder assigned so I can navigate up and down with keystrokes.
3. I know it stated in an older version that colors of scroll bars cannot be changed, but I want to confirm this is still the case. My eyes tend to drag images so I see a duplicate white scroll bar over the screen making it challenging to navigate and if this can be adjusted it would be most appreciated.
4. What does the 64 bit version have for donors and does a donation allow a user to get future versions of the 64 bit software or just a one time download?

That should get me started as these are my primary questions I'd like to address.

Please let me know if you have any solutions to these or ideas and thanks again for this great software.

Best regards,

Marek

Dialogs color are currently not customizeable.

Assign button will be active if you define the shortcut in the field "New shortcut:". Please check https://freecommander.com/fchelpxe/en/D ... tcuts.html

Yes, it is the case.

Please check https://freecommander.com/en/version-summary/
The 64 bit version has SFTP.
Please check https://freecommander.com/en/donation/ and https://freecommander.com/en/donor-downloads-rules/

Marek -

This is very helpful, many thanks! I got the hotkeys when I realized I had to click in the "new shortcut" box on the right and not the main field!

Really loving this software and great work.

Best,
