Beginner's Dumb Question

#1 Post by Sanpaku » 16.12.2017, 00:39

Hi -- I'm brand new here. And I've run into a problem that is clearly pilot error. Here goes:

I'm looking for a word doc with the phrase, "personal representitve" in it. And that's the Containing Text field, without the quotes of course.

FileName = *.doc,*.docx
Case Insensitive checked.
Search In = C:\
Subfolders is checked, ZIP, CAB and RAR are not.

I have at least one word doc that has that phrase.

I hit CheckMark to find, it goes to X Stop, then back to Checkmark Find... and it finds nothing.

Any ideas?

Thanks all in advance!

Check 'Search in Office xml (docx, xlsx, odt)', it appears only when you type something in 'Containing text'
Note, it works only with new 'docx' format, but doesn't work with old 'doc' format
