Multirename of files in more than one folder

#1 Post by ch53 » 26.10.2016, 11:05

Hi experts,
is there a way to rename files within multiple folders - e.g., if files with identical names f01, f02 ... exist in folders A, B, C ..., can I rename the files to f01x, f02x etc in all folders in one go?
Thanks for any help!

Use Plain view (Ctrl+B), select the desired files, then use Multirename (Ctrl+M) (add "[n]x" in the Name section) .

If you need to use the folders from different locations, not just subfolders from one folder, or from different drives, use the file container, copy the folders to the file container tab, select all, F2.

If you want to use the counter, use the option "reset per folder". You need to use also option "with subfolders".
