Change FreeCommander XE program icons

#1 Post by pietrov » 30.08.2015, 15:21

Hello guys,
I'm a newbie but I love this great utility.
I have installed on my W7 machine with the purpose to replace the awful explorer.exe that I hate.
Now, It works great however to make the replacement more smooth, I would like to modifiy the Freecommander program icons, 16x16, 24x24, 32x32 and 48x48 to mimic those of explorere.exe....

Do you know if there is a trick or a settings capable to do that ?
Thanks

Pietro

You can definitely make a shortcut to FreeCommander, and then assign any icon you would like. This is what I do.

But if you want FreeCommander to use the icon within the app (so it shows up in the taskbar, for example), then you will need to ask Marek to include it. I've been meaning to submit the custom FreeCommander icons I created to him.

Note that the Windows Explorer icons might be copyrighted by MS, and therefore Marek would not be able to include them in FreeCommander.
