How can I expand (collapse) all of the folders in the tree v

How can I expand (collapse) all of the folders in the tree view with a single click or a shortcut (SHIFT+ Num or # does not appear to work):
And how could I mark all of the the sub fold only or mark one level of the sub folders?

Expand one level: + (Num)
Expand all: x (Num)
You can define shortcut for the action "Tree -collapse all".

Thank you very much, Karol

I can't get those commands
+ (Num)
x (Num)
to do anything for me. The "Tree-collapse all" shortcut I assigned will collapse, but that would only help me if I could expand.
Not really sure what the panes are called (sorry); I essentially use a File Manager look:
I'd like to be able to click a folder on at least one pane and expand or collapse all subfolders.

Select one node in the tree and than press +(Num) or x(Num)

Thank you
very much for your reply, Karol!
I
think that is exactly what I have done. But I'd be very grateful for a little clarification because I'm not sure I completely understand
anything about your instructions:
1.
"+(Num)"
Does this mean (since my plus sign is a shifted key) that I hold down both the shift key and the key that makes a + then I
also press any number key?
2.
"x(Num)"
Does this mean that I hold down the x key then I
also press any number key?
3.
What's a node?
4.
What's "the tree"? (As I wrote, above, I don't know that the panes are called, sorry.)
Before posting I pretty much tried everything I could think of that might match the instructions.
I tried (on both panes of my setup which I pictured above) clicking on (to select) a folder on a drive with subfolders (I also tried clicking the icon for whole drives, and for "This PC")...then I tried my guesses above for what's meant by the commands you told us about.
But they didn't work (as I said "didn't "do anything for me"). Sometimes the behaved surprisingly; for example, when I pressed the x key after selecting a folder in my left pane, the focus jumped to a folder whose name began with "x" on another drive.
In short, I'm confused.

See numeric keypad:
https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Numeric_keypad
+(Num): Addition on the numeric keypad
x(Num) or *(Num): Multiplication on the numeric keypad

Aaaaa! Yes, that works perfectly. (Thank goodness I have a numeric keypad.)
Thank you very much, Karol!
