Can't find text in files when searching non-ascii char.

#1 Post by eakkas » 16.03.2015, 03:29

I have a file that contains the following text:

Et bien, pourquoi êtes-vous toujours en train de lire cet e-mail ?

Due to the ê, CTRL+F in folder view returns empty result. If I search for the characters before/after (therefore excluding the ê), FreeCommander finds the file as expected

Confirmed also for build 687 donor. And also for some Romanian characters (diacritics: ș, ț).

The file is probably encoded.
In the search dialog you can select encoding (activate Options->Advanced mode). Try UTF8.

 You're right, Marek!
There's no bug here, sorry!
