please help me to understand more (atleast enough) about ulister, uv viewer and such.
I want to display word, excel and outlook (msg) files just by browsing through the files like I can with PDFs. No extra bars or ribbons nor being able to edit the file "on the fly". Just Preview.

With those tips out of the threads above, I managed to get a preview in the quickview-pane for the MS office files.
But I have to prompt the request to download the file. After I agree to this, the office file opens in the quickview with lots of ribbons bars etc.
Outlook files still look awkward in the quickview-pane and when set to be handled as Internet, those .msg-files open in another window.
I would like to get rid of this download-prompt.
I would like to get rid of those ribbons in the quickview-pane and just preview the files.
I would like to be able to read emails in a readable way.
How do I manage that?
Please elaborate or link tutorials, as I know nothing about FC, plugins, external programs and how to configure each of them to work with the others.
If you want to understand, why THIS way is my preferred choice:
I have several thousand 1000 word, excel and emails (with and without attachments), which I need to browse the first page of.
I have to look for special keywords (like order, reorder, quote) or certain groups of numbers and letters and evaluate the context.
for example, a sentence like "please quote again the parts from our last order XYZ12345-Q" would fulfill a lot of serach criteria, but the context means: no order in this file - discard it.
A sentence like "hereby we order the parts 1,2,4-10 according to your quote XYZ12345-Q" means keep.
3 criteria in each sentence, completely different meaning...
As I have no programming skills or any other means to automate this task (problem mostly being the quite complex search-criteria, like: find criteria only on page1 and evaluate the context of the criteria) I need to do that myself (or pay someone...)
Thats why browsing with arrow-keys and a quickview would be so great for me.
I could do it with the standard win explorer, but having this functionality in FC would suit me very well.
