Quickview in second window

In FreeCommander when I invoke Quickview on a file in the Left Hand panel the results are shown in the R.H. panel.
In FC XE Quickview always seems to open the viewer in a separate Window which obscures the view of other files. I've tried the obvious options (One Viwer per Panel/ Use Opposite Panel) but to no effect.
How do I get XE to behave the same as the old FC 2009.02b ?

The quick view panel has the splitter at the top. Expand the size of the quick view panel with the splitter to the full size and you have the same layout as in 2009.02b.

Thanks - it seems like part of my problem was confusing View and Quickview. I've now got the Quickview displaying in the opposite panel but it doesn't fill the panel, the underlying file list view still occupies part of the right hand side of the panel, unlike FC2009 where it completely replaced it.
I can use the splitter to move it so that it gives me the full view but XE doesn't seem to remember that setting and I have to do it each time I open Quickview. Am I missing something ?

I heve configured ULister TC Plugin as viewer.
It fills the opposite panel fully and also of course allows to view almost any file format.
