Just show checksum?

#1 Post by Dirk » 26.02.2014, 10:51

How can I just show the checksum of a file without opening another file? Using Ctrl + K I cannot find a way.

Many thanks joby_toss,

Now I see, I missed to uncheck "Store checksums" in the "Operation" tab.

By the way, which program do you use to make these videos or whatever it is?

Many thanks again.

I'm using LICEcap (free and portable) to make (record) these animated gif's and I upload them to imgur.com (or somewhere else if this one is down at the time).

Great, thank you very much for the link, joby_toss.

Very good, free and portable. If I see it right, you have to install the program first and then make it portable, ther is no portable version you can download. Is there a way to get the program portable without installing it?

Many thanks again.

Hmmm, I am not quite sure, how to assess this:

How to: http://www.portablefreeware.com/index.php?id=2587

VirusTotal scan result: https://www.virustotal.com/en/file/4725 ... /analysis/

I don't understand why someone would make accusations like this... Licecap is an open source project and the source code is provided by the author (inside the installation kit) for anyone to check.

Make sure you always download software from a trusted source, though!

Very sorry for doubting.

Yes, very convincing, all done like you say, works great.

Very little program, 284 kb the installer, very nice.

Many thanks again.

No, no, don't get me wrong! You should always doubt!
Good thing you did that search, otherwise I wouldn't have consolidated my opinion that download(.)com sucks! :)
