Tortoise SVN overlays in lister, but not in folder tree

I use tortoise SVN and I can see the SVN file and folder overlays in the lister tab, but there are no overlays in the left-hand folder tree. The only overlay I see in the folder tree is the Windows "sharing" overlay. The overlays are being properly displayed on the folder icons in the lister, so XE is able to determine them correctly, they just aren't visible in the tree. Is there a setting somewhere that I am missing?
