Can you avoid that renaming an item / entry in a container tab renames the original file?
E.g. I dragged and dropped some exe files to a container tab and remaned them (supposing it is like doing it with a link, a *.lnk, which doesn't change the original file), having the same name before, but that also renamed the original files.
Or, how could I start a program in a container tab?

It works as I expect from an container.
It would not be possible to make global changes to file names from an container
if that would only influence the container itself.
So change your mind about usage of containers.
All other popular file managers are working the same way.

Re: Renaming items in container tab renames original file
Thank you horst.epp,
What exactly is the advantage (besides of this: "It would not be possible to make global changes to file names from an container

Thanks again.

Re: Renaming items in container tab renames original file
Why do you want to use a file container to start the files from there?
In a file container the path to the original files are stored to collect them from different folders to make a combined action on them (copy, move, ...).
Use a normal TAB an put the program-links in there. These links can have every name you want.

I guess, because I wasn't clear about the exact menaing of such a container. Why do you want to use a file container to start the files from there?
So that is the advantage of such a container, I understand. In a file container the path to the original files are stored to collect them from different folders to make a combined action on them (copy, move, ...).
Yes, I will do so.Use a normal TAB an put the program-links in there. These links can have every name you want.
