I've been using the 32-bit version
(FreeCommander XE 2021 Build 850 32-bit donor)
by mistake.
When I switch to the 64-bit version will my customizations automatically persist?
(Providing I guess that I don't uninstall the 32-bit version first.)
(As it happens, I listed those customizations in https://freecommander.com/forum/viewtop ... &t=11860&p)
If not perhaps I may be free to uninstall the 32-bit and to do so before I install and customizing the 64-bit
switching to 64-bit version

Re: switching to 64-bit version
Thank you very much for your great reply, Dreamer!
I apologize for not finding that in the FAQ (that's impressively documented!).
I think I can now feel comfortable saving a copy of the /settings/ folder elsewhere, doing a thorough uninstall of FC 32-bit, then installing FC 64-bit.
Edit: Wow, that worked great! (It turned out that my initial install 4 months ago was the 64-bit version, but at some point I forgot and also installed the 32-bit version. Now thankfully I've just got one 64-bit version freshly installed and working perfectly with my /settings/ folder. Oh, and it was cool that [I guess since I hadn't opened the new install of FC yet] there wasn't even a /settings/ folder there to replace.)
