Greetings.
I was already aware of that setting, and
the others posts in this thread make color coding suggestions.
All of the points I just posted remain ...

19February2012 Greetings. Yesterday I found the latest FrCXE.570 ... The Goto Tab popup (which has &hotkeys!) now works for me! That makes my life SO MUCH better! (Any chance the popup might be able to sort/list the tabs in the same order as FrC?) The highlighted/selected item(s) now (seem(s) to...

Re: Now I can easily distinguish the active vs. inactive pan
19February2012 Greetings. Glad I happened to notice this thread this morning. I also often mistake which FrC pane is active ... Maybe because the active tab in the inactive pane is colored the same as the active tab in the active pane ... Maybe it would be better FrC gave the option to color the act...

Re: XE considerations ...
18February2012 Greetings. Another FCXE search issue I have encountered is that the the Search Popup (in its own window) intercepts keyboard input made when FCXE (NOT the Search Popup) is active IF one (or more) of the found search results is highlighted/selected. If I highlight a found search result...

Re: XE considerations ...
10December2011 Greetings. Is (Will) there (be) some way to block auto refresh when the location is somewhere on the network without a drive letter? e.g., \\H\Hx\here\there It would be really slick if the SendTo popup menu(s) invoked by the AppsKey in FreeComm worked like the SendTo popup menu(s) inv...

Re: XE hotkeys and context menu
Yesterday I remembered that to check out this tabs popup menu item. I added a hotkey, but the hotkey does nothing. Is this supposed to be functional? It works very well for me on Win 7/64. There is the "Tab: Show context menu" hotkey option and the "Tab: Show popup menu" hotkey ...

22November2011 Greetings. Thanks for the reply! The old option works in FC XE too: ShowFullPathInCaption=1 I did not know about this (old) ini entry. Is/Was(Will) there(be) no way to set that via the Settings GUI? It could also be an option to display only the current drive letter and directory (wit...

Re: XE considerations ...
20November2011 Greetings. How about the option for FrC to display the driver letter and/or fullpath in the titlebar? Is(Will) there (be) a way to set the default search template? I usually do not want to include system files. Now I have to create a tempate for that AND apply the template each time I...

Re: XE hotkeys and context menu
17November2011 Greetings. This new hotkey is NOT working for me on my XPx86 laptops. I would like very much to make if work if possible. Any helpful replies/insights appreciated. I hope my previously posted "open items" are still in the "Q" ... The "focus bug", no infot...

29September2011 Greetings. I think it is great that FCXE allows choosing any hotkey combo(s) for the "GoTo Drive" feature. I think it would be great if FCXE allowed choosing any hotkey combo(s) for the "Favorites - Goto" feature ... Right now all FCXE Favorites have to have a Ctr...

28September2011 Greetings. I hope FCXE will address the still "OPEN" items I have previously posted. The new FCXE has the search functionality. GREAT. I have noticed that clicking the column dividers to autosize does not work properly. How about adding the option to choose/set search resul...

28September2011 Greetings. Yesterday I remembered that to check out this tabs popup menu item. I added a hotkey, but the hotkey does nothing. Is this supposed to be functional? I could really use a GoTo Tab hotkey ... I have implemented new action "Show popup menu with tabs". JetAudio has ...

11September2011 Greetings. Today I downloaded the latest XE ßeta (.550). I can see after a quick review that a number of issues I posted here (and elsewhere) remain issues ... I can also see a number of very welcome changes to the previous XE ßeta I was using ... I suppose I do not need to repost un...

26May2011 The FreeComm "sticky" (non-search file find? - what is this feature called?) is unique & great. I do not have to quickly type all the characters of the file name I would like FC to find/highlight; however, I often find that it is TOO sticky ... I don't (at the moment) have an...

FCpα has also crashed dozens of times on my XP laptops - usually (but not always) when in a custom view for exes with dateiversion ... I tried Dateiversion on xplorer² and experienced problems (but not as many), so I switched to Product version (not exactly the same but seems to cause fewer problem...
